  • Top Ten Things You Need When Travelling With Kids

On a recent excursion, I almost lost my son’s lovey, was without wipes, had to grab food out of the Air Canada lounge and checked the spare diapers with the luggage! To avoid these pitfalls, here are a few things that make travelling with kids much easier — for you and the little ones (we've left diapers off the list because only we could forget that):
    1. An umbrella stroller. It doesn’t make you look too savvy, but neither do Spanx, and they work very well.
    2. A carabiner. Clip stuff that could drop or blow away to the diaper bag.
    3. Plastic bags. You never know when you’ll have a radioactive diaper that needs to be isolated.
    4. A small bottle of ketchup. Because everything they eat needs ketchup.
    5. Individual sizes of exquisite makeup. You deserve to be pampered.
    6. Diaper wipes. For EVERYTHING.
    7. Children’s Tylenol. Be the carrier – not the borrower.
    8. A laptop or ipod with DVDs or downloaded movies.
    9. A cell phone charger.
    10. A sense of humour. This one might save you the most!
