Default Dream Closet

Have you seen the Ikea commercial where the women are in their perfectly organized closet talking like guys in a mechanic shop? If you have, you know how amazing that closet is!

I'm about 10% there, but have no idea how to set up drawers, shelves and racks. Has anyone set up a Pax or any other wardrobe system? Would you recommend getting a professional to do it?

Also, what if I slightly cheated and got a chest of drawers for the walk in closet? Any recommendations on brands/sales?

I'm determined to get my dream closet for spring!

It depends on your budget and how big your space is. A number of furniture stores where I am have people that can help you design your closet using some of their modular closet units - it's like a higher end Ikea version.

I also really like California Closets.

I personally would hire someone if you're seriously wanting to do a closet reno. There are some cheap DIY kts from Rubbermaid, etc... that I've seen in Canadian Tire type stores but they are really basic. I suppose just putting it a chest of drawers would help with storage, but it's going to go against the style you're describing if you want it to look flow like the Ikea commercial.

Thanks tweetie! I do agree, a chest of drawers wouldn't really do it, and I'd probably end up using it for only a few months. I'll try my hand with the basic versions, and see what I can come up with .

Even if I had a "dream" closet it would do me no good - I'd still have a hard time keeping it organized and tidy.
