I know some of you may be cringing at the fact that I am mentioning Christmas shopping on the second day of November, but I'm stuck. I need to find a gender neutral gift that costs $20. I was thinking something from Bowring, but couldn't find anything that stood out to me. Or one of those coffee sets from Second Cup. Sweets are a no no because we are playing the stealing game, and there are some diabetics participating. Anyone have any suggestions?

A neutral color scarf. They are a great accessory for men and women!

I really like this idea. And everyone could always use a new scarf since they get old pretty quickly.

Hmm...some ideas I have are:
- giftcards
- DVDs/Blu-rays
- board games
- books
- fleece throws
- bath robes

I want to leave gift cards as a last resort. I have considered cd and dvd's but since the stealing game is being played I do not want to buy something that someone might end up with and not liking. I am thinking a bottle of wine, or something like that. Know any good wines that are $20? The game is fun, but just makes it more difficult. I have to go check out some scarves. Good idea.

Why is everyone so iffy when it comes to gift cards? Unless it's someone close to you, they would probably love to get one. They're so versatile.

And with the CD/DVD thing and worrying about someone not liking it...that could be said for anything. Some people don't like wine for example.

What's this game you're playing, anyways? I just assumed you were doing something akin to secret Santa

With our group of friends sometimes we have funny gag gifts like one year we got gigantic remotes for the TV for $15 at Home Outfitters.

Last year we got a Starbucks gift basket from Walmart (I think it was Walmart...). It had like a mug, some coffee and other treats.

Maybe a cool stainless waterbottle?

Kitchen Stuff plus has some cool inexpensive stuff. I think last year I got some holiday themed dessert plates on sale that were nice.

I personally love getting gift cards it allows me to shop for myself. However not everyone feels that way.
The game goes as follows:
A table has all the presents wrapped.
5 people at another table Person A-E. They each draw numbers.
For example Person A get 1, B,2 and so on...
Person A picks a gift from the table. They can't open their present though. It is now Person B's turn to pick they can either take another one from the table or steal Person A's one. And it continues. Each person can only steal one.

If you have the opportunity to go to target, there is tons of gift sets under 20 or 15 around xmas time, i bought a present for a staff xmas exchange last year. I actually like getting gift cards as well, especially over getting stuck with corny cds that some people choose for a gift exchange.

I am thinking about a pair of gender neutral leather gloves. The questions are can I get a pair for $20, and do they exist? Anyone know?
