How to shop for others

I saw some of the posts on the worst Christmas presents and thought that maybe people would benefit from this post.

I wrote up a post on how to buy the best gift ever. Some of these are probably common sense but if people followed these tips you should be able to get a great gift for the people you are buying for this Christmas!!

I've heard some people say that they will write down a list of 5 things that we want for Christmas or our birthdays (within a reasonable price range of course) and give it to their friends or family members so that they get at least one thing that they want. What do you think about this?
