Well I can tell you pegah that my brother had his first at 41 and his second at 44, his wife is a year younger than he is. They've had serious "second thoughts" that they did the right thing. It finally dawned on them that they will be putting kids through college/uni near retirement and the reality that they may never see grandkids if their kids choose the same path.

Ironically he did the whole 'travel the globe", "no roots", career building thing through his 20's and 30's and repeatedly told me I was crazy for having our kids while we were young. Now he's finally admitted that "maybe" we were right in our choices ...

I was chatting with some of my extended family over the holidays and we had this very conversation about "how old" they were when they became parents.

The consensus seemed to be that your energy level goes down drastically if you wait until your late 30's but that having kids in your early 20's makes it that much harder to do all the things you want to do for yourself. I guess there's no winning, but either way, no one would trade their "mommy" experience!

Both my wife and I are 32 and had our first 2.5mnths ago. What a change this has been. I cannot believe how much more I appreciate my wife having gone through this experience.
As an aside question, is there a parenting section that posts current deals for children products? I'm looking for a high quality car seat.
Thanks in advance.

Congratulations and it's nice to hear from the male perspective!

We do have a parenting section called Mommy, that has all the current deals for parents, but you should also check the Deals section regularly as well.

Hi there, I just had my first daughter...I found out I was pregnant with her on my 30th birthday. She is now almost 5 months and I am sooo glad we waited. We are financially stable and definitely ready to be devoted parents...we also have a little more patience than we did in our 20's
jindogae a very good car seat is the Britax line. I am watching patiently to see if there are any sales. I will let you know if I see one.
