Angelina Jolie showed up with hubby Brad Pitt to the premiere of Brad’s new flick, Inglorious Bastards in L.A. a few weeks ago; now I can’t get the Michael Kors fitted leather tube dress she was wearing out of my head.
After seeing Angelina’s sexy black leather dress, the September issue of LOULOU made its way onto my desk. I landed on page 73 and saw yet another leather dress. I personally take it as a sign. The universe is telling me to get one!
Fall '09 is all about leather – real or faux (for our animal-friendly chicas). But I’m still on the fence. Is it too much? How do I avoid over accessorizing a leather dress?
After asking myself these questions and taking another peek at Angie’s seductive look, I have decided to go for it! BUT, there are some ground rules every leather-obsessed fashionista should abide by:
- Keep your leather outfit to a minimum. Don’t pair your leather dress and leather boots with your leather jacket. Opt for one leather piece.
- Let the eye-candy leather statement piece do the talking, so no accessories needed.
- Don’t attempt to be office chic with this look. Reserve body-conscious leather dresses for the weekends and nights out.
